MAYFIN – Strengthening Financial Literacy Among Disadvantaged Youth
Limited financial literacy can significantly impact young people’s ability to make sound personal and professional decisions, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds. The lack of accessible, engaging, and practical financial education leaves many youth unprepared for real-life economic challenges.
The MAYFIN project, funded by Erasmus+ (2023-1-PL01-KA220-YOU-000159009), aims to enhance the financial competence of young people aged 15–18 by introducing accessible and innovative educational tools tailored to their realities.
The project also equips educators and youth workers with the resources needed to effectively teach personal finance and engage learners through practical, interactive learning formats.

The project will deliver two core outcomes:
- An Interactive Educational Game, simulating real-life financial scenarios to build decision-making skills, awareness, and confidence in managing personal finances.
- A Methodological Guide for Educators, offering practical teaching strategies and adaptable tools to promote financial literacy among youth in diverse learning contexts.
