MicroCvet – Strengthening Skills Through Flexible Micro-Credentials in VET
The world of work is changing rapidly, and traditional training pathways often struggle to keep up with evolving skill needs. Many learners, especially adults and professionals, require short, flexible, and targeted learning opportunities that allow them to upskill or reskill quickly without long-term commitments.
MicroCvet, an Erasmus+ initiative (2023-1-ES01-KA210-VET-000150442), responds to this need by promoting the use of micro-credentials in Vocational Education and Training (VET) and continuing education. The project supports training providers, educators, and learners in adopting modern, modular learning formats that recognise skills gained through short courses, non-formal learning, and workplace experience.
MicroCvet focuses on making VET more inclusive, adaptable, and aligned with labour-market demands, helping learners access relevant training and receive formal recognition of their competencies.

The project finalised in October 2025 delivered three core outcomes:
- A Micro-Credentials Glossary, developing a common appreach to Micro-Credentials for non-formal C-Vet providers – Micro-Credentials Glossary.
- The Best Practice Guidelines on the use of Micro-credentials – Best Practice Guide.
- Standards and Procedures for implementing micro- credentials in non-formal C- VET providers – Standards and Procedures Guide.
