4equality Tools to Support Women in STEM and Business are ready!

Despite significant progress, gender bias and stereotypes continue to affect the experiences, confidence, and career opportunities of many young women entering STEM, business, and other male-dominated sectors. Supporting a more inclusive future requires not only increasing participation, but also ensuring that young women feel empowered, prepared, and supported in navigating professional environments.

This is exactly the mission behind 4equality – Supporting Young Women to Cope with Gender Bias in STEM and Business Careers, an Erasmus+ project (Project No. 2023-2-PL01-KA220-YOU-000178863) that has now successfully reached its final stage.

Over the course of the project, the partnership worked on developing practical tools and resources to help young women better recognise, understand, and cope with gender bias, while also strengthening the capacities of educators, mentors, and youth workers to provide meaningful support and create more inclusive learning and mentoring environments.

As a result, the project has developed a set of free and open-access resources, including:

  • Women Development Programme, Platform and e-Mentor – offering training, mentoring, self-development, and self-assessment tools designed to help young women build confidence, resilience, and strategies for navigating challenges in STEM and business careers. Access HERE
  • Youth Workers Toolkit – providing educators, mentors, and support organisations with practical methodologies, activities, and guidance for supporting young women entering male-dominated sectors. Access HERE

The project also promotes greater awareness of unconscious bias, workplace culture, and the importance of mentorship, representation, and inclusive professional environments.

Whether you are:
– a young woman interested in STEM or business,
– an educator or youth worker supporting girls and young professionals,
– a professional working in a male0dominated sector, or
– an organisation interested in building more inclusive innovation ecosystems,

we invite you to explore the 4equality resources and join us in helping create environments where talent is not limited by stereotypes.
