EM&M - Bridging emotional intelligence and cybersecurity competencies
Digital technologies are transforming the way young people connect, learn and interact—but are they equipped to navigate this world safely and responsibly? This is the question at the heart of our Erasmus+ project, EM&M – EMotional intelligence & cybersecurity environMents in Youth Education (2024-2-RO01-KA220-YOU-000293190)!
Over the next 24 months, partners from Romania, Poland, Portugal, Italy, Greece and Austria will work together to help youth workers better understand the relationship between emotional intelligence, cybersecurity and online behaviour. By integrating these often separate fields, the project aims to support young people in becoming more resilient, responsible and emotionally aware digital citizens.
As the digital world continues to shape everyday life, young people face growing challenges ranging from cyber threats and misinformation to online manipulation and the impact of digital environments on mental well-being. EM&M responds to these challenges by providing youth educators with practical methodologies and innovative learning tools that promote both safe online practices and the emotional competences needed to navigate the digital landscape with confidence.

The project will develop a comprehensive set of educational resources, including a Youth Worker Manual, storytelling-based learning materials, and a gamified microlearning platform featuring interactive scenarios and real-life challenges. Together, these resources will support youth workers in delivering engaging learning experiences that strengthen digital resilience, foster emotional intelligence and encourage informed, responsible decision-making among young people.
